Start with the production's real constraints

A generic directory is not enough when the studio needs a digital tech in one city, a food stylist for a specific date, or an assistant whose day rate fits the production budget. Crew Finder uses map-based search, city and region context, role filters, and rate ranges to narrow the field around the job that actually exists.

Roles reflect commercial production: assistants, digital techs, producers, stylists, retouchers, hair and makeup artists, and other crew can describe the work they do. The photographer can move from a vague recommendation request to a useful set of people with relevant profiles.

Review the person before starting the conversation

Profiles bring portfolio context, roles, location, availability, and rate information together. The studio can understand whether the person fits the production before sending a message, while crew can present the information a photographer needs without rebuilding an introduction for every opportunity.

Browsing is not a replacement for a real hiring conversation. It makes that conversation more informed by giving both sides a clear starting point around role, experience, location, timing, and expectations.

Post the job once

When search is not the right starting point, the studio can post an open crew role with the production details candidates need. Crew can apply directly, and the hiring studio can review applicants from one job post instead of copying the same request into several communities and private threads.

The post can state the role, location, schedule, rate range, and relevant context without exposing internal Job records. Applicants see the opportunity; the studio keeps the rest of the production private until it chooses to continue.

List yourself and become findable

Crew members can create a profile so photographers discover them through the same role and location filters. Listing yourself, browsing profiles, rate ranges, crew-type filters, and posting a job are not separate products; they are the two sides of one hiring marketplace.
